Photographed in Roatan, is part of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef that lies within the Caribbean Sea and touches the coasts of Mexico, Belize, Guatemala and Honduras. This is largest barrier reef in the Western Hemisphere, stretching nearly 700 miles from the northern tip of the Yucatan Peninsula down through the Honduran Bay Islands.
I have been drawn to the ocean since I was a kid. Although I didn’t grow up near it, my childhood vacations in Key West were spent enjoying the  waters of the deep blue Atlantic and the shallow flats of the Gulf of Mexico.
Drawn to the conservation of the delicate reef ecosystem, I have volunteered with @coralrestorationfoundation & @motemarinelab in the Florida Keys. My aim is to share the beauty of this still pristine and healthy reef ecosystem and raise awareness for its  protection, restoration and conservation.
